 The day begins with the assembly organized by first-year MEd scholars. Today was your first assembly day in MTTC. The assembly started with a prayer then pledge, thought of the day, news today, a speech about Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, and campus news then they presented a book to the library. After that principal gave us a message to us. Then we recited our national anthem and hence assembly dispersed. Then we went to the Library and got lost in the world of books. 

The day starts with the class of Dr.Gibi Geevarughese. She took the basics in the subject of Psychology- the origin of the word and the types. Then there was an awareness program by M.Ed scholars of Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud. The program starts with a prayer song by Ms.Kavya. The welcome speech was done by Mr.Austin. The introductory remarks were done by Dr. K Y Benedict, our beloved principal. Two of the M.Ed scholars took seminars on the topic ' of value education and 'gender equality, which was extremely relevant in the present scenario. We presented a mime.

 Benedict sir has taken the first hour. He told the importance of a mentor and its qualities. A good teacher should be a friend, a catalytic changer, an inspiration, a guide continuous motivator, a scaffolder, surrogate parent. Teachers are social Engineers. Today has become a special day with an inspirational speech by Dr.Joju John. He emphasized the point that we have to get rid of our inhibitions for becoming successful teachers. 

Growing your own vegetables and fruits have a positive environmental impact. Plants act as highly effective air cleaners, absorbing carbon dioxide, plus many air pollutants while releasing clean oxygen and fragrance. The vegetable garden was officially inaugurated by our principal  Dr. K.Y Benedict. All the first-year students and teachers became part of the program and planted the vegetables in agro grow bags and watered the plants.

 Today we had our first class. The curiosity and happiness to learn something new filled in my heart. It's always a pleasure to learn new things. Dr. K.Y. Benedict sir gave us an introduction class. Later Dr. Gibi ma'am also introduces us to the B.Ed curriculum.

 My first day at MTTC Today marks the beginning of something new. A turning point in my academic life. I have taken the first step in my life to achieve one of my dreams, which I have been carrying with me since childhood. I always wanted to become a teacher, I don't clearly remember when this thought was implanted in my head. When I look back in my life, there were several moments that I was unsure about, but was always sure about my ambition. Maybe it was because my aunts are all teachers or maybe it's because of the lovable teachers in my life and the wonderful things they have done in my life that have all helped me to become who I am today. Anyway, the point is I am here, at one of the most prestigious teacher training institutions in Trivandrum, Mar Theophilus Training College for social science optional.
