A New Beginning

 My first day at MTTC

Today marks the beginning of something new. A turning point in my academic life. I have taken the first step in my life to achieve one of my dreams, which I have been carrying with me since childhood. I always wanted to become a teacher, I don't clearly remember when this thought was implanted in my head. When I look back in my life, there were several moments that I was unsure about, but was always sure about my ambition. Maybe it was because my aunts are all teachers or maybe it's because of the lovable teachers in my life and the wonderful things they have done in my life that have all helped me to become who I am today.

Anyway, the point is I am here, at one of the most prestigious teacher training institutions in Trivandrum, Mar Theophilus Training College for social science optional. Today was my first day at college, and we received a warm welcome from our teachers, seniors, and nonteaching staff. The first day began with a prayer at 9 am which was followed by an inaugural ceremony and PTA meeting. The inaugural ceremony was indeed a visual treat. Our beloved principal Dr.K.Y. Beenedict has inaugurated the ceremony and ten encouraged us with a motivating speech. Then we moved to our studios where we met our seniors, they gave us a brief about the course and shared their experiences that made us more comfortable and curious about the course to look forward to it. Then we met our class teacher Dr. Bindu ma'am  and she gave a briefing about our college and the course. It was good to meet new friends, some I have known before others complete strangers. Together we start this adventurous journey to become a good human being, a guide above all a good human being.

DAY 4 (19/06/2023) I Reached school at 8:30 am and marked the attendance. I had classes at 8A. In the 4th period I taught at 8A. In 8A I taught them the features of the cities of Harappa.The students enjoyed the class and the activities. I should improve my skill of questioning and also my class management skills. WEEK 9 : PRACTICE TEACHING PHASE 2

DAY 35 (07/08/2023) Today I had to take demonstration class at college for my juniors. I had to take the topic on the legislature and I had to take it using the Advance organiser model. This was my second demo class. I have already taken a class on social problems to the students previously, before the stat of the internship. After the class I went straight back to the school. I reported at the school at 11 am. After that I had a usual day. I left the school at 3 pm. DAY 36 (08/08/2023) I reached the school at 8 am. I marked the attendance. I conducted diagnostic test in the 8th period in 8th standard.I had substitution at 6A, 7G and 3F in the 4th, 5th and 6th periods respectively. PRACTICE TEACHING PHASE 2 -DAY 18 INNOVATIVE WORK

I reached at the school at 8 am. I marked the attendance. I had class today in the morning at 8th standard in the third period. I started with the new chapter Our Government and taught them about the legislature of our nation. I was able to present my innovative work to the students of the class. INTRODUCTION An innovative work can be defined as a " new idea, device or method". It is something original and more effective and as a consequence new that 'breaks into' the pupil . Two interesting dimensions of innovation including degree of novelty and type of innovation. Innovative work should be a catalyst to growth . Innovation may be linked to positive changes in efficiency, productivity, quality, competitiveness and intellectual development. Through innovative work the teacher can improve students performance by providing group work opportunities and resources to innovate.
